I had been desperate to read this book since I saw the cover for it, so when I got an email about a Blog Tour I quickly signed up! This book started off at 4 stars with me! I did find it a bit slow and the characters were a bit over the top, but as the book progressed it started to turn into something beautiful! This impressed me! I didn't really expect to love it as much as I did! The plot of Forgiven was beautiful! There were these two characters who were broken and trying to deal wit 4.5 stars

I did find it a bit slow and the characters were a bit over the top, but as the book progressed it started to turn into something beautiful! This impressed me! I didn't really expect to love it as much as I did! The plot of Forgiven was beautiful! There were these two characters who were broken and trying to deal with so much not knowing that together they were stronger! The plot did start a bit slow, but it quickly picked up and I was unable to put this book down! It developed very well and I really enjoyed it! The amount of swear words in this book did annoy me a little! There were quite a lot of them and sometimes I found it a bit unnecessary! I swear sometimes as well, but the amount of times the characters did in this book distracted me a little! I thought that I was going to have problems connecting with the main characters at the start of this book, but as it progressed I was able to connect with them perfectly! Caleb was the main male character and he was such a douche to start off with! As the book progressed he changed completely though! He turned into this protective, loving guy! I loved this side of him and I loved how cute he was with Angie! I could tell he really loved her! Caleb was living with a secret and this secret could either break his relationship with Angie or make it stronger! I did think that it took a while for the actual secret to come out, but I did have my suspicions! Angie was the main female character and she was so lovely! I didn't really expect to like her when I first met her, but she was a likable character! She had a tough home life and that was enough to break anyone, but Caleb was there for Angie and he was able to show her that there is so much more to life! Angie was a fragile character, but she put on a brave face and I really admired her for that! I loved that this book was written from both Caleb and Angie's point of views as they were both battling they own demons and it was amazing to see them battling them separately and then together! I'm wouldn't think that this book could turn into a series as Caleb and Angie's relationship and story was fully resolved in this book and it developed further than I thought it would, but maybe the next book will be about a different character or something like that! I'm definitely looking forward to reading the next book and I'll anxiously be awaiting its release! The cover for Forgiven is so pretty! It's what attracted me to the book in the first place! Oh my gosh!! Rebecca Brooke you just put me threw a huge roller coaster of emotions reading this beautiful book. I had to catch myself from being to upset at some of the harder parts to read. but it was written beautifully. thank you for ht e chance to read this masterpiece

This is my second Rebecca Brooke novel and like the first one, it had me crying at some point. Happy tears, I assure you.

The story starts with Caleb feeling so much pained even after he was proven not guilty to something that involved him and a woman with unforgettable brown eyes. Fast forward – two years later, a history project had him paired up with Angelina Powers, his classmate who also had those haunting brown eyes that made him go weird and f*cked-up. The story starts with Caleb feeling so much pained even after he was proven not guilty to something that involved him and a woman with unforgettable brown eyes. Fast forward – two years later, a history project had him paired up with Angelina Powers, his classmate who also had those haunting brown eyes that made him go weird and f*cked-up. She reminded him of his past that still haunted him in his sleep. He told straight to her face that he didn’t want to work with her on their project and then he left her. Angie, of course, was hurt and thought of the worst. She thought that he didn’t want anything to do with her because she was incompetent. But since both of them were on scholarships, they compromised made do with their schedules and conflicting emotions.

Just when they thought everything was going smoothly, a time-bomb started ticking, hurting Angie emotionally and tragically all over again. Caleb’s world began to shatter as well. When the time-bomb finally exploded, both of them were holding on to their lives. Death plagued Caleb’s memories and it seemed that his past is happening again. Will he ever forgive himself in the end?

I got emotionally invested from the first chapter of the book, so it’s not a surprise that my sons caught me crying while reading Forgiven. Two broken souls striving to face their future, live in the present and forget their pasts. But their pasts seemed to be catching up on them, however they try to dodge it. I admit, I actually didn’t like Caleb at first, because he was rude and standoffish, despite being a gorgeous jock. Angie, on her part, was likable and straightforward. She’s got her own demons to face, but knew when to keep her distance. Eventually, both characters matured and transformed, making me like them even more.

Rebecca Brooke did it again. What I mean is, she has captured my attention again and made me a follower. I liked how she brings out the best and worst in me when I read her stories, it’s like I could lose myself in her characters and feel the turmoil and passion burning within the pages of her book. I really enjoyed this book, yes it does have some heavy emotional moments in it but mostly it is a fun, lighthearted book about college kids, love, sex, life, mistakes, redemption, and forgiveness. Caleb at first comes off as a jerk but when he finally shows everyone who he really is he is adorable, loving, and protective. I like how the author stings you along, never finding out what really happened in Caleb's past until close to the end, of course I had my guesses but it kept me wondering. I d ...more

Rebecca Brooke is a new author to me. I love meeting new authors and getting to know their writing styles.
I love the premise and story that Rebecca weaves in this book. Everyone deserves a second chance. Sometimes that’s all it takes to be happy.
The college setting seems well thought out. I enjoyed the style that Rebecca used to show us the characters.

Forgiven is a very touching story about two young people who believe they are unworthy of love, due to their past.
Angie & Caleb are forced to work on a school project together, much to Caleb’s dismay.
Through out the story, we see Angie & Caleb begin to realise that they have feelings for each other, but Caleb tries to fight it.

Caleb and Angie get off to a rocky start. He can't forget his demons that are still haunting him, and Angie has a painful past. Neither of them can resist their attraction, though Caleb certainly tries.
Yeah, Caleb was a jerk in the beginning, trying to protect himself and Angie. Once she gets under his skin, he only wants to protect her.
Angie is sweet, and willing to forgive. She's been through hell but like she keeps saying, Bad things happen to good people.

I recieved this book for an honest review. I LOVED this book so much! I was hooked from the beginning! The author hooks you by starting it off with a secret that you are dying to know. I laughed and cried and yelled at the characters with this book! I love Caleb and Angie and their relationship. But I also love the supporting characters just as much! Especially Em and Joe! The ending was great but I was very sad for it to be over!
