This book I originally started out reading it in hard copy but couldn't get into the writing style. Switched to audio. Finally finished it. Still the writing style was hard to get used to. I enjoyed the school scenes but did not like the words used in this book. Warning: This book is very racial, school brutality, touches on rape, and even mentions Hitler.

Oh my... out of all the books I would've imagined DNF'ing this year, this one was nowhere near the list. But allow me to explain.
When I first purchased this book, I was in what you could call a classics "phase", and this was one of the first ones that came to mind. This was around 2018, the year where my reading tastes changed COMPLETELY, and I don't think this book was ever my taste in the first place.
