What Members Thought
I am moved by the poetry Amanda Gorman writes in this book, especially because it’s so culturally relevant and touches on topics with a heavy focus on the global pandemic and racial injustice. Her words spin grief and loss but also hope and light. I read so many of the poems more than once, taking away nee things each time. I can see myself giving this book to my grandchildren when they are teens to explain to them what it was like, to go through the pandemic and the racial injustice and politic

I'm not much for poetry most of the time, but this was beautiful to read. I think I went through every emotion in it's pages and I'm so glad I got the chance to experience it. Poignant, beautiful, heartbreaking ... Amanda Gorman is a gift to us all.
