This book was a lot of fun to read - different enough from the movie to offer plenty of surprises. There are a few spots where the book shows it age - Benchley does a mediocre job writing from a woman's perspective, especially a 38-year-old woman - but overall the book was solid. Should be required summer reading for anyone who loves the movie (or loves a good monster tale). ...more
