Charming is a good word for this book. Also, wry. I laughed out loud during the Purse essay - I'm so with Ephron on that. I also loved her essays on how food and cooking has changed over the years, and the essay on the rapture of books should be read by any book lover. The essay on her apartment building dragged on and on - I couldn't connect with that one. This started out pretty funny - I love nora ephron's movies. She has a great sense of humor and i like her take on love. However, midway thorugh i just thought, "This is an old lady book."
