Again, a second read that was just as good as the first. This is such an amazing series and each book gets better and better.
This was less obscene (ahem) than the first book, and felt really well researched. And incredibly engaging! I'll surely pick up the next one.

Wow! What a powerful read, you get sucked right in on page one. She writes so descriptively! Sometimes that leads to some very graphic, stomach turning scenes but it's all part of the journey. The thing about Gabaldon, at least with this series, is tha she leaves lusting for more.

The sequel to Gabaldon's first time-travel historical romance Outlander. A woman goes back in time and has all kinds of adventures in Scotland. I especially like it when she uses any of her "modern" knowledge or gadgets to assist those she is associating with in the past.

A very satisfying sequel to Outlander, just as interesting and entertaining, but had a few weak points that could have been fixed w/ stronger editing - sometimes I felt the author kind of beat me over the head w/ all her period details.
I have to say, I don't love it as much as Outlander, but it was pretty good. Maybe just a touch too long. But I still plan to catch up on this series in 2010!

I actually read the CD version but again, wonderful narrator and fabulous story!
