Let’s be real here, this is The Princess Bride. Of course it was going to be a 5 Star read. But honestly, I really loved it so much. I was surprised at how much the book was similar to the movie. There were a few subtle differences between the two, because the movie needed more “oomph” for certain scenes, but very little was different.
This is one of those rare situations where I liked the movie as much or more than the book. I didn't like all the interruptions by the author's character (who I found annoying). The whole introduction could have been cut, in my opinion. Without all of the interruptions, I really enjoyed it.

I saw the movie first; maybe that's why I didn't enjoy the book so much. Maybe, maybe not. Ah, so I did gain something from reading 400 odd pages of White Teeth after all!

DNF. I like the movie, but I just could not get into the book. I found all of Goldman's comments at the beginning of the book to be annoying and confusing.
