I absolutely loved this book. I've always loved the movie and heard that the book wasn't any good. Maybe if I had read the book first I wouldn't have appreciated it as much? I don't think that would have been the case though. I thoroughly enjoyed Goldman's storytelling style, I loved the various conventions he used to move the story forward and make all the "background story" feel so believable and connected.
