I really enjoyed this audiobook. I liked the part at the beginning, which focuses on world-building and Sibling Dex's life as a garden monk. I all-to-easily identified with their career crisis and need to move on to another calling. I fell in love with the idea of having tea monks, as a person to go to when you need them, as a part of a thriving community who understands the need for them, and as a person who might enjoy being a tea monk. So stinking cute. I had a hard time getting into it, and Chambers skirts the didactic in a way that makes me wary as a reader, even peripherally uncomfortable. But the world and its customs are lush and believable, and Chambers explores the human condition with her usual insight.
