I loved this book so much. It has a bunch of things that will get me every time: an animal narrator (pulls on the heartstrings, but so much wisdom and love and they are so adorable), found family, chances for redemption... There's not huge surprises here, but watching the characters find out what we know already is fun, and the characters are really well-developed. And there's a metal band.
