Began to read a week ago, got bored, and skimmed a good deal of this book. Liked the Scottish castle setting...but got very annoyed with the Amelia/Adam back and forth. Not sure what the appeal is for people who loved it.

Lots of twists? Well it was a too-lengthy, "Liar Liar Pants On Fire" chronicle for me. One of the "plot twists" felt like a really old rubber band that didn't twist; it just stretched and stretched and fell flat for me. I think the biggest problem I had when I went back to try a ...more

This is getting made into a show? Maybe people will love hating the characters as much as I did. OMG - am I going to make myself watch it to see if it is as bad as the book? Why am I like this?

I get I have to suspend disbelief but I was rolling my eyes at the ridiculous bs plot twists. No you couldn’t, wouldn’t and didn’t.

I might need a break from the genre - maybe it is me.

A spooky thriller with unreliable characters, set in an ancient Scottish Chapel in the snow? Sign me up! This decidedly NOT a holiday story still seemed perfect to kick of the winter season. A bit predictable but still fun and twisty.
