I am saying it now – this is the perfect book to get you in the summer mood! This story centers on the four Riva children – Nina, Kit, Jay, and Hud - navigating their lives in 1980s Malibu while living under the shadow of the famous father that abandoned them. Their lives and the story of their parents are told through flashbacks amongst the setting of the annual Riva beach house bash thrown by big sis, Nina. 3.5 stars. I enjoyed this story; I love intertwining stories. I loved the way the characters began but I wanted more about Jay and Hud.
