I thoroughly enjoyed this novel! Will be reading more of Taylor jenkins Reid. I grew quite fond of this family and the obstacles they overcame to get where they are. A fantastic book. 5+ stars!

A quick read with great character development and fun to be taken back to some areas of Malibu I used to frequent when I lived there. But I think it was so hyped up from me I expected a bit more. I like Reid’s writing, but for this book some parts were just a bit too cliche. I did like the clean ending and closure of the story.

Sometimes you just want to escape from the world for a bit, and all of the novels that I've read so far by this author have offered such a satisfying escape for me every time. Even though I know nothing about surfing, I was hooked early on and eager to find out how the story would end. It's the interesting female characters and the relationship dynamics that keep me coming back to the worlds this author creates.
