Honestly, I avoided this book when it first came out. Something made me cave and place it on hold, though it still felt like something too "Hallmark-ish" for my taste. Turns out I was wrong and I really enjoyed this tragic (yet hopeful!) coming of age tale of a lone survivor of an airplane crash. In tears at the end of this sweet story. I listened to the nicely done #audiobook which is probably part of the reason I enjoyed it so much.

What a powerful story - both heartbreaking and healing. As a sole survivor of a plane crash that included his family, Edward must learn how to live again after losing everything. This was on my TBR for too long, but with the Apple TV serious based on this book, and an new novel out by Ann Napolitano, I knew it was time to prioritize this one, and I’m so glad I did.
