What a breath of fresh—yet deadly and horrifyingly loyal—air. This book managed to be a quick, light read while also making powerful points about superficial men, societal objectification of women and the intensity of the bond between sisters. Plus I think I just really like the Nigerian sensibility—I’ve loved so many recent books I’ve read by Nigerian women.

A fun, quick read about murder and family. The characters are well-drawn and I also enjoyed the peeks into Nigerian culture. I look forward to more from this author.
