I LOVE Curtis Sittenfield. This is one of her best novels. The story is about the Bennett family - perhaps they were once "Cinncinatti high society" but have fallen on hard times. Their Tudor house is crumbling, Mom and Dad are broke, three daughters live at home with little to no ambition and the two oldest daughters are surviving and working in New York. A fairly decent adaptation of Pride and Prejudice, though parts of it felt a bit clunky. There were also a ridiculous number of chapters - 150+!
