As usual with Bill Bryson, this is laugh out loud funny. I wasn't terribly interested in Australia, but by the end of the book, I was fascinated. Great entry in his bibliography and I'm so glad I gave it a chance. ...more

I love Bill Bryson, I just adore his way with words and his wit. This was another laugh-out-loud travel memoir along the lines of "A Walk in the Woods."
