Amazing, one-sitting read that I wish so so much could be required reading for the world.
I wanted to stand up and applaud after I finished this. A clear, simple explanation of feminism. Everyone should read this.
I don’t remember the real dates I read this, but I know that I took it slow for a 30-page book! I enjoyed her writing and the message was strong and empowering.
This is essentially a transcript of her 2012 Ted Talk that is excerpted in Beyonce's "Flawless." At first I was like "Why did they print that? There's internet!" But now I'm really glad this exists in print for people to discover on shelves. It takes ten minutes to read and is full of wit, intelligence, and sharp observations on feminism in modern cultures.
