Fascinating memoir about/by a savant with Asberger's, his way of seeing the world, his challenges growing up without a diagnosis, and his interesting and varied life. (He used to tour with KISS! He's the brother of Augustin Burroughs!) Highly recommend!

Good story, well told. It didn't provide quite as much insight into the mind of an Aspergian (to steal the author's word) as I'd hoped. Wow, this book was really not good! I was so excited to read it because I loved Augusten's books and have always been fascinated with Asperger's so I thought I would learn a lot from this book, but it just wasn't well written or even interesting. I'm totally disappointed.

i didn't like the writing. i don't think this is really the author's fault - i didn't like his brother's book much more. it is a good story, it has an important message, and i'm glad that it was written. i just didn't really enjoy reading it.
