What Members Thought
This is a classic Boy Book, full of action and world building and snarky adventurers. Capitalism is still very much alive in this universe, and humans can't stop fighting each other despite colonizing the planets. Hard(ish) sci-fi isn't a genre I read very often, but the zippy pace keeps it from getting too bogged down in technical details. I really enjoyed this book. The idea of the different parts of humanity--Mars, Earth, Belters--was clever and cool. The mystery here was engaging and I really came to like these characters. I'll definitely read more of this series.
The narrator for the audiobook did a good job helping the listener keep straight the shifting perspectives. The frequent perspective changes meant that a listener needs to pay attention when there's a chapter change to figure out who is talking. ...more
