Let’s start with Me Before you. I didn’t like that book either much but it was ok, just overrated. This one I really didn’t get at all. Relation between Lou and Lily was fine but the rest not really.
It looked like write enjoyed twisting Lou’s life in any possible way. Engaging her in lots of misfortune just to tell we need to be grateful for whatever life offers to us. I don’t think so.

Will did what he felt he should do -- the only way he could "go on" and Lou made the choice to help him. However, that last bit with the letter -- he told her to live and in my need for a happily-ever-after, I believed that she did.

4 3/4 stars. I just can't give it a 5, because of course, nothing can beat Me Before You, but it was an awesome continuation of Lou's story. The characters were just as amazing and I found myself laughing and crying throughout the book. A MUST read!

Nice follow up to Me Before You, with growth in many of the characters. I especially liked the feminist arc of Louisa's mother.

Didn't love it quite as much as Me Before You, but definitely a must read if you read the first one.
