There is no story that is not true. ... The world has no end, and what is good among one people is an abomination with others.
This was a re-read for me, because my 9th grader will be reading it for her English class, and I wanted to refresh my memory, since the last time I read it was (approximately) 1990-1993.

I read this book for my english lit class. We read it as a response to Heart of Darkness. I am still unsure what exactly my thoughts on the book are. The book is easy to read and pretty entertaining. You enter a world that is strange, different and so much unlike our own. It is hard to comprehend the way of life that is so unfamiliar to us. I struggled with the first portion of the book.
