I was really disappointed in this book. I despised it, for the most part. Things got a bit better in the last quarter of the book. Basically, this is a very loose retelling of Beauty and the Beast. I mostly saw it as a celebration of an unhealthy relationship. Romance flourished out of nothing. It was disturbing, not thrilling.
Near the end, the tone of the story changed and I finally got interested. However, I still don't understand anything.

This is a creative version of Beauty and the Beast. I love the story of Beauty and the Beast and like reading all of the retellings. This one is dark, but I loved the way the writer took me on a crazy journey and I kept up with her-fun read.
