I'm not sure if it was my fault or the book's fault that I got so bored and distracted while trying to read this, and ended up being so disappointed in it. The magical worldbuilding was intriguing, and the relationship that built between Ceony and Magician Thane was appealing. The romantic angle felt subtle at first, and their growing relationship was charming. Cool concept!
I liked the concept of this storyline but I found my interest in it waning. It never really left me needing to know what happened next, although when I found out what happened, I was usually pleasantly intrigued. It took me awhile to read but...
