What Members Thought

I like coming of age novels. Typically these involve younger protagonists who are at the stage of development from child to adult. But what I like even better and I find often more fulfilling in a story is the change and growth of adults.

I used to love Barbara Kingsolver soooo much. This book has all the classic kingsolver characteristics- plucky working class heroine, kids, environmental destruction. Somehow it isn't quite as compelling as it was when I was twelve years old...
