A quick and absorbing read. I'd love to reread this with a book group some time.

This book was hard to read and riveting at the same time. I must have read over 100 pages after opening up the front cover. Yates's writing is simple, honest, heartbreaking and beautiful. Some people think this book is depressing, and I would agree that the subject matter is heavy, but the portrayal of suburban life and society makes this a fine piece of fiction that I would read again and again.
