What Members Thought
I learned A LOT about Alexander Hamilton, considering that all I knew before was he was on the $10 bill and helped write the constitution. After reading this, I see him as an interesting and complex man who had some relatable flaws. This biography felt a little dry at times, though, and didn’t always capture my attention...that might be because I don’t read a lot of historical biographies.
Yes, this took me most of the year to read. I would listen to some between reading other audiobooks. And it’s long. Not the longest book I’ve read, by far, but it is still long. Great narration of an interesting era and person.
Abridged, audio version. As a result, seemed more paternalistic than I expected, but perhaps that weas due to the narrator and the omissions. Could clearly hear certain inspirations for Hamilton, though.
