I'm kind of at a loss to write about my feelings for this book. I'm glad I read it now, in young-middle-age, because it resonated with me where I can see where the actions and paths I took in my youth lead me to where I am now.
Though I was not part of some revolutionary movement in India that could have led to my death, of course, like one of the main characters in this novel (not so much a spoiler).

A bit disappointing since I expected really high on this book... I love Jhumpa Lahiri (still do) but I wished she could do something more with the story and characters. This book feels to flat for me, very dull in some parts, although the writing is still really good. Look forward to the next one!
