This is the book that got me into reading. I remember my grandmother(who I was raised by) would take me to work with her every Saturday. It was an hour drive to and from her work so she would take a cassette player with her and listen to her book on tapes. Flowers in the Attic was one of those books. I recently reread this after 10+ years. After buying this series at a garage sale, I read it multiple times as a teen. I don't know how to rate it, but I do know I sped through this. It's like ... you can't tear your eyes away.

Reading this after having grown up in a church-y/cult-y atmosphere was very interesting. And Corinne and her mother are just written so masterfully ... in that you can see how truly chillingly evil they are.
