My brain has been complete mush lately and I swear I started this book over about 4 times before I really fell into the story. That sounds like a horrible thing to mention in a 5-star book review, but I want to make it clear that it was 100% worth all the struggles I strangely had with it. (Confession: I took notes for the first few chapters to get my brain back on track.)
