This book was so good! I wasn't expecting a fairly dense, 300 pg book about the Dust Bowl to be anything but a slog, but I was happily surprised. So much history, but also lots of interesting characters who were still alive when the author was researching this book. I loved the beginning of this. I learned a ton of new things. As the book went, it started to feel repetitive and I don't think much new was added. The end became interesting again. A pretty good look at a very unfamiliar piece of American history.
