This book is amazing. I love the quirky way it’s written, with surveillance footage and IMs making up the bulk of the story and yet getting across such a depth of feeling and drama and sadness (book is SAD). Love the characters - Kady is so cool - and the twists and turns and the creepy factor. The story is bonkers and I flew through the almost 600 pages in no time (some are mostly blank space, so that helps). Couldn't put it down! Went and bought a hard copy because reading this on a Paperwhite is decidedly suboptimal.* (And decided to just buy Gemina right then, since I was thoroughly hooked.)

What genre is this? I see elements of:

-Space Opera (meant non-pejoratively)
-Military science fiction
-Action-Adventure
-Character study
-Romance
-Feminism
-Horror

The book is made up of “file” - interview transcripts, video transcripts, emails, IMs, etc. the audiobook is performed by a full

Just amazing good fun, with tons of action. The plot is made of basically every disaster that could happen in a futuristic world and the hero is a real bad-ass 17 year old girl. Fun fun fun. And beautiful to look at.
