Lisbeth Salander is interesting even when confined to a hospital bed. Her inner workings are just fascinating and she will always be one of the best written, most fully formed female characters on the page. In fact, this story gives the ladies a lot of time to shine, allowing Berger to finally feel like something more than Blomkvist's shadow and introducing the equally interesting Figuerola as a foil.
