What Members Thought

As with most of Picoult's books, this is a quick read; her style of writing is just smooth and flows well. I love that her books bring up very touchy subjects and she usually plays them out well in her characters. This book, however, fell short of my expectations. The characters started annoying me about 1/3 of the way thru; they just didn't offer anything exciting or special beyond the normal character. I managed to finish the book in tears, which is typical for me (and Picoult's books). :D

This was not my favorite Jodi Picoult - but it was still and enjoyable read. Luke - who studies wolves in the wild, is in a coma. His daughter and son must decide if he should stay on life support or be removed. As they look into this, they must also look into who their father was and what he would want...the story is told through numerous narrators - i usually don't like this but the author really made it work.
