3.5 stars, if I could. It read fast; something about the way it was written just sort of flowed easily. Interesting story line; I was surprised at myself that I didn't see one turn coming. Not bad.

It telegraphed too clearly what was going to happen, so I checked the ending to confirm (I was correct) and abandoned it. In its favor, I have been reading some very good books lately, certainly if the competition for my time was less stiff it would have fared better.
A mail-order bride and her new husband try to overcome their respective pasts in order to create a new life together. Fascinating character development.
Beautifully written. I still have 100 pages to go but I've been reading mostly non-stop all day.
