Oh hey, a story about the dissolution of society under the fear and oppression of a rising fascist regime hahahaha, hitting a little (a lot) too close to home in 2017! May return later. (Left off @ 23%.)
The audiobook of this was just phenomenal. The story is a great one, with many layers. I was so pleased that what I thought happened after each kid's story was wrong!

Beautifully written. Told through the eyes of 4 children growing up between WW1 & WW2. The music that fills the story makes it so much more powerful. This has been one of my favorite audiobooks to date.
