amazing book. Poignant without trying too hard. Strong voice (loved the main character)and a story that builds to a satisfying and heartbreaking climax. Highly recommended.
Once the book reached Callie's personal story, it was really gripping. All the familial history was interesting but I found myself less interested in the background, and more intrigued by the narrator him/herself.

The first time i tried to read this book, i really could not get into it - this time i made it through. An interesting read but i felt the story was a bit disjointed.
I gave up on this book. The story was too weird for me.
i think i had too many expectations for this one.
