I found the beginning of this slow going -- it takes a while to come together, but then it really takes off. The second half was great. This is kinda like Game of Thrones with mastermind thieves. I loved the first half

I enjoyed the characters and the first half of the plot as they fooled everyone. But that middle bit when the violence started knocked this book down in enjoyment. The writing was really goid and there were a lot of twists and turns, but not so much happiness.

this book was gangbusters bonkers and Locke Lamora was exhausting at times, but the audiobook was AMAZING and I enjoyed it roughly one thousand times more than the series it's usually compared to, so overall, a win-win for me. ...more
