If that wasn't a totally unnecessary and useless frame device, I don't know what is. I also don't know why I kept reading this book, because it is boring and not interesting in the slightest. Nothing happens at all.

This is a good book...but it was very much not what I expected it to be. With the boarding school and emphasis on the traditional senior event, along with the very attractive object-of-the-main-character's-obsession girl with a jerky boyfriend, it is shadowy of Looking for Alaska. With the retelling of a tragedy to another party through use of recorded audio, it s part 13 Reasons Why. But it didn't have the excellent humor contrast of LFA or the emotional payoff of either. I liked this book. The narrative structure is different. It's told by a former student of the Irving School to a current student through mp3 files. The story told intrigued me enough that I stayed up half the night to see hoe The Tragedy Paper would unfold. Fair warning, the ending wasn't what I expected. I wasn't let down but I was a bit disappointed.

This was ok. If definitely kept me reading, but I thought it was lazy. I mostly kept reading because I knew some big giant thing was going to happen, and the main character kept saying, "OMG! It's so suspenseful! Something's going to happen!"
