I parceled this out to enjoy a little at a time because my maniacal laughter made my husband look askance at me; plus it was nice to have a little story to look forward to. How does she make sad so so so funny? I guess because it’s relatable and yet so off kilter straight up weird.... Anyway read this book. It’s hilarious and heartbreaking.

It was fun catching up with Allie after so many years. Some parts of this were funny and some parts were sad, because it is a story about life (since it is her life). It's also framed more around grief, so it was interesting to see all of the stories connect together.

Nothing against Allie Brosh's cover at all - her art is what makes her work so brilliant. I had so many good laughs while reading this book, and then the emotional content hit suddenly (such is life) and you feel the impact even more with her images. I relate to so much of what she says in her works and want to thank her for voicing them and being that person. Applause. ...more
