Argh. This book is totally crazy. Imagine a world controlled by internet and digital media. Where your life is fully exposed through social media, and your friends in digital world are far more important than the people in your real life. Privacy is theft and (over)sharing means that you're caring. The Circle, the largest internet company in the world (inspired by Google I guess) is obsessed to make a world a "better" place by providing all kinds of digital services for people around the world,

A strange combination of compelling and predictable.
Author does a good job depicting the worry over social media’s influence over attention that’s commonplace in today’s society. Pity the author doesn’t add anything insightful to the discussion.
Not a good book but a terrifying one with enough cautionary elements to make me reevaluate my online presence and appreciate the irony of posting this at all.
The Circle is a satire on the cult of Google. It feels a bit over the top at times around the hyper-connectedness, though sadly many people probably wouldn't think so.
