This is one of my favorite books. Definitely my favorite read of 2007. The characters are amazing. I admire the author for his use of women's voices. He definitely has a great sense for what drives women to be who we are. I enjoyed this more than Kite Runner (which I also loved). It gave me a great sense of the total rape of Afghanistan. Also, made me realize the love for one's country is total. ...more
