This is a really short book! I got the audio version, and when I saw there were only two CDs, I had to double check to make sure it wasn't abridged. Nope. Just a short book. Once I started listening and realized White had written several memoirs already, it made more sense.

I wish I could say that this book had me in stitches, but… it didn’t. The Betty White in print is definitely not quite the Betty White as shown in movies and on TV. Is she sweet? Sure. Nice? Sure. She comes across as a very down-to-earth, grandma sort of person, but what I thought would be a funny set of essays was more of a grandma’s advice on how to live life, and a lot of admonitions on taking care of animals.

This was a quick read (the audiobook is less than 3 hours), and not something I would normally pick up except it was a buddy read for a group I'm in and Betty White had just died. This was entertaining, and I learned some things I didn't know about her. Did you know she was made an honorary National Park Ranger? She was a lovely person and I'm happy I read this.
