I struggled with how much the narration made or broke this book or me. The narrator really did an amazing job with the multiple languages & dialects required of her to adequately perform this book. And I think overall, it definitely added some "authenticity" to it for me personally.

This book was very highly recommended by a friend, so I figured I'd read it. I actually gave up on it, but she told me to keep at it, that she put it down 3 times before finally finishing it.
It got better about 200 pages into the book, but I still am not thrilled by the story.
