I was disappointed in this book, the description leads you to believe it's a magical work of art, and though some of the writing is in fact beautiful, I really didn't like the book. It was a dark story filled with characters that I didn't care about, and told in such a disjoint way, I often had trouble understanding the time period being referred to at any given time.
