What Members Thought

I have mixed feelings about this book. It was a very good read, especially the last half. Orringer is strongest when describing the ravages of war through the characters' eyes and the toll that war takes on families and individuals. On the other hand, I think this could have been 300 pages shorter and some of the storylines and descriptions felt superficial - e.g. a couple falling in love during one train ride.
