What Members Thought

This book is superbly written, and so much of it is based on real and true history. For this reason, I find that I'm getting upset for not having paid that close of attention in my Eastern and Central European history classes (references to Turkey, Hungary, Budapest, Istanbul, Romania, Transylvania, France, England, etc. etc. etc.!), to have a better understanding of the historical and political context. But aside from that small aspect, this book will suck you in from the first couple chapters.

Longer than it needed to be, required some serious suspension of disbelief, but it was interesting. It took me a long time to stop getting confused between the stories of Rossi, Paul, and Paul's daughter (did we ever learn her name or did I just forget it?).
