What Members Thought
It was definitely super long and maybe a little overdone at points (suspending disbelief enough to think that people would actually write letters with that much detail was hard for me!), but it was so well done that I didn't care - I was waiting at the pharmacy reading it and I forgot where I was, I got so swept up in the beautiful descriptions of Istanbul and other far-flung places. So, so gorgeously written.

4.5 stars...should I have rounded up? Interesting voice(s). Took me awhile to get into it. I wasn't sure I'd be hooked, given how I feel about vampires (completely creeped out by them), but the scholarly approach made it a much more palatable subject. Thoroughly enjoyed it, after the hour or so it took to adjust to the writing style.
