I keep trying to embrace the Arthurian stories, but it just doesn't take for me. The first part of this book was a more elaborate version of the Disney Sword in the Stone, which surprised me a bit as it read as if for a juvenile. I couldn't embrace all the author asides and Merlin's musing on things that wouldn't happen for a 100 years. I gave up. ...more
