Once in a long while I watch a movie that I like more than the book it is based on...this "fairy tale" is a case in point. I like the movie so much more than I enjoyed the book. Ella has been placed under a spell by a fairy. She has to obey each and every order...no matter how trivial and no matter the consequences...she is given, by anyone. How will she ever learn free will and be able to live according to her own wishes?

I love this book. I never even touched the movie with a stick because this book means so much to me. It's so much more than a version of Cinderella, the world and the characters and the situations that happen are just amazing. And at the heart of it is the story of strength and what it is to be a good person.
